Luke Hemmings ‘Nostalgia for a time that never existed’ Tour Posters

After watching Luke Hemmings’ music video for “Shakes” I was inspired to create some posters for his “Nostalgia For A Time That Never Existed” tour that encapsulated the feeling of the music video. Moody blues, rainy days, and a longing for the past were some of the keywords I had in mind when designing these. The song itself has a dreamy sound, and bittersweet lyrics - music is always one of my main points of inspiration so it was very creatively stimulating for me to design the posters.

“Can’t help but chase you, my butterfly” - using a symbol that appears in the lyrics helps connect with the audience on a deeper level

Overlaying images and using blurry lights made the poster look like a distant memory, nodding to nostalgia

Experimenting with a collage style to bring in several elements of the music and the visuals
